About the City of Wright
Nestled in the heart of Carlton County, Wright, Minnesota is a small but proud city known for its natural beauty, community spirit, and deep-rooted heritage. Incorporated in 1920, Wright has served as a peaceful home for generations of residents who value rural living, strong values, and connection to the land.
Located just off State Highway 210, Wright sits near the southern edge of the Superior National Forest, surrounded by dense woods, open fields, and freshwater streams. The town is home to a close-knit population of around 170 residents, who enjoy the quiet pace of small-town life while still having access to regional amenities.
Though small in size, Wright plays a meaningful role in Minnesota’s history and rural landscape. From its early days as a farming and logging hub to its current status as a quiet residential community, Wright maintains its character and charm through thoughtful leadership and strong civic pride.
The New City Hall is a center of our city, where residents come together for public meetings, community planning, and civic engagement. The city is committed to transparency, safety, and serving its citizens with respect and responsiveness.
Whether you're a long-time resident or a visitor passing through, Wright welcomes you with open arms and a sense of neighborly warmth that makes it truly feel like home.
